Reservics lets you add a restaurant reservation system to your Shopify store in minutes. It puts a booking widget on your storefront so diners reserve a table online, and it gives you a dashboard inside Shopify admin to manage bookings, hours, capacity, deposits, and notifications. Diners book without an account, and Reservics blocks overbooking automatically.
The problem with phone-only bookings #
If you take reservations by phone or notebook, you lose tables you cannot see. Common pain points:
- No-shows leave empty seats you could have filled.
- Phone bookings tie up staff during service.
- Double-bookings and lost slips cost you covers.
- You have no record of who booked, when, or how often.
A reservation system fixes this. Reservics is built for Shopify, so you do not need a separate platform, a separate login, or a developer.
Why a Shopify-native system #
Reservics runs inside the Shopify tools you already use. The booking widget is mounted directly in your theme (no iframe), and the admin lives in your Shopify admin. Deposits are charged through Shopify Checkout, refunds go back through Shopify, and diners can be linked to your Shopify customer list so you can re-engage them later.
What you’ll need #
- A Shopify store with a published theme.
- The Reservics app installed from the Shopify App Store.
- A few minutes to set your first location, hours, and booking rules.
The Free plan covers a single location and basic online bookings. Deposits, the waitlist, multi-shift scheduling, staff roles, and more are unlocked on the Pro plan (\$9.99/mo) and Advance plan (\$19.99/mo). Paid plans include a 14-day free trial.
How it works: a high-level overview #
Setting up takes five short steps. Each one links to a deeper guide.
- Install Reservics. Add the app from the Shopify App Store and open it from your Shopify admin. See Install and set up Reservics.
- Create your first location. Use the Onboarding wizard or the Locations page to add your venue, then set capacity and party-size limits. See Capacity and party size and Manage multiple locations.
- Set your operating hours. Add your weekly schedule. Add separate lunch and dinner shifts on Pro+. See Operating hours and shifts.
- Set your booking rules. Choose your slot interval, booking duration, buffer time, advance-notice window, and whether bookings auto-confirm or need manual approval.
- Add the widget to your storefront. Turn on the Reservation widget in your theme so diners can book. See Add the booking widget to your storefront.
Once the widget is live, every online booking lands on your Bookings page, your Dashboard shows KPIs like today’s bookings and no-show rate, and confirmation emails go out automatically.
Cut no-shows with deposits #
The fastest way to reduce empty tables is to require a deposit. On Pro and Advance, you can charge a deposit per location, either a flat fee or an amount per guest. The diner pays through Shopify Checkout and the booking confirms on payment. You can also set a refund window and a no-show fee. See Reservation deposits and No-show fees and refunds.

Frequently asked questions #
Do diners need a Shopify account to book a table? #
No. Diners book straight from the widget by entering their party size, date, time, and contact details. They do not create an account. To manage or cancel later, they use a secure link in their confirmation email.
How does Reservics prevent double-booking? #
Reservics calculates free seats as your location’s capacity for that date minus the party sizes of overlapping active bookings. End times are exclusive, so a 10:00 to 12:00 booking does not block a 12:00 start. This stops overbooking without you tracking it by hand.
Can I take deposits to reduce no-shows? #
Yes, on the Pro and Advance plans. You set a deposit per location as a flat fee or an amount per guest, and the diner pays through Shopify Checkout. The booking confirms once payment is received, and refunds are issued back through Shopify based on your refund window.
Is there a free version? #
Yes. The Free plan supports one location, online bookings, one email reminder, and up to five custom form fields. Paid plans add deposits, the waitlist, multi-shift scheduling, staff roles, and more, with a 14-day free trial on paid plans.
Does Reservics work with multiple restaurant locations? #
Yes. Each location has its own hours, capacity, rules, deposits, and staff. The Free plan covers one location, Pro covers three, and Advance is unlimited. See Manage multiple locations.
