To manage or cancel your restaurant reservation in Reservics, open the confirmation email you received and click the “Manage your booking” link. The link carries a secure 32-character token, so you do not need an account or password. From there you can view your details and cancel. If you cancel inside the restaurant’s refund window, your deposit is refunded automatically.
Before you start #
You need the confirmation email the restaurant sent when you booked. Every transactional email (confirmation, reminder, reschedule) includes the “Manage your booking” link. If you cannot find the email, check your spam folder, then contact the restaurant directly and ask them to resend it or cancel for you.
Open your booking from the email #
Follow these steps to reach your reservation details.
- Open the confirmation email from the restaurant.
- Find the “Manage your booking” link near the bottom of the message. This link is added to your emails automatically.
- Click the link. It opens the restaurant’s website with your booking already loaded, so no login is required.
- Review your reservation: location, date, time, party size, and your contact details.
The link works because it includes a unique 32-character token tied only to your booking. Keep the email private, since anyone with that link can view and cancel the reservation.
Cancel your reservation #
- Open your booking using the manage link above.
- Look for the cancel option on your booking details.
- Confirm the cancellation when prompted.
- The restaurant is notified and your seat is released. If a waitlist is active, your seat may be offered to the next person in line.
If your booking included a deposit and you cancel inside the refund window, the refund is issued back through Shopify automatically. See the table below for how the refund window works.
Changing your reservation details #
The manage link lets you view your booking and cancel it yourself. To change the date, time, or party size, contact the restaurant directly. Staff can edit your booking from their admin dashboard, including the date, time, party size, and status. If they reschedule it, you receive an updated email with a fresh manage link.
Refund window at a glance #
The restaurant sets its own refund policy for each location. Your deposit refund depends on how far ahead of your reservation you cancel.
| Restaurant setting | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| No window set (default) | Your deposit is always refundable when you self-cancel. |
| 0 (no refunds) | Deposits are not refundable. You can still cancel, but no money is returned. |
| A set number of minutes before start | You get a refund only if you cancel at least that many minutes before your reservation time. |
Only diners who cancel inside the refund window get an automatic refund. If you are outside the window, contact the restaurant: staff can still cancel and, where eligible, refund you from their side.
Frequently asked questions #
Do I need an account to cancel my reservation? #
No. The “Manage your booking” link in your email uses a secure 32-character token, so you can view and cancel without any login, password, or account. Just open the email and click the link.
Will I get my deposit back if I cancel? #
It depends on the restaurant’s refund window. If you cancel inside that window, your deposit is refunded automatically through Shopify. If you cancel after the window closes, or the restaurant set its policy to no refunds, the deposit is not returned automatically.
How do I change the date, time, or party size? #
The manage link lets you view and cancel your own booking. To change the date, time, or party size, contact the restaurant directly. Their staff can edit your reservation, and if they reschedule it you will get an updated email with a new manage link.
I lost my confirmation email. How do I find my booking? #
First check your spam or junk folder, since the email contains the only link to your booking. If you still cannot find it, contact the restaurant. They can look up your reservation by your name or email and resend it or cancel it for you.
What happens to my table when I cancel? #
Your seat is released back to availability so others can book it. If the restaurant runs a waitlist, the next person waiting may be offered your seat by email.
