To set your restaurant operating hours in Reservics, open Locations, choose your venue, and go to the Hours & Schedule tab. There you build a weekly schedule for each day (Sunday to Saturday) and add the shifts you serve, such as Lunch and Dinner. Diners can only book times that fall inside an open shift, so your hours directly control online availability.
Before you start #
- Operating hours are set per location, so each venue keeps its own schedule.
- A single shift per day works on every plan, including Free.
- Multiple shifts per day (for example separate lunch and dinner service) and date overrides for holidays are Pro+ features. See pricing and plans.
- Your hours work together with capacity and booking rules. Those settings decide the actual bookable slots. See capacity and party size.
How hours drive what diners can book #
Your weekly schedule sets the windows when your restaurant is open for reservations. Reservics then splits each open shift into bookable time slots using the booking interval you set under Capacity & Tables and Booking Rules. If a day has no shift, that day is closed and diners see no times. If you run lunch and dinner with a gap in between, diners cannot book during the gap.
Set your weekly schedule #
- In the Shopify admin, open Reservics.
- Go to Locations and select the venue you want to edit.
- Open the Hours & Schedule tab.
- For each day of the week, turn the day on if you serve reservations that day. Leave it off to mark the day closed.
- Set the start time and end time for the day’s service.
- Save your changes.
Add multiple shifts per day (Pro+) #
If you serve more than one service period in a day, add a separate shift for each one. This keeps the mid-afternoon gap closed and lets diners book only inside your real service times.
- On the Hours & Schedule tab, pick the day you want to split.
- Add a shift and set its start and end time, for example Lunch 11:00 to 14:00.
- Add a second shift for the same day, for example Dinner 17:00 to 22:00.
- Give each shift an optional name (such as Lunch or Dinner) so it is easy to recognize.
- Save your changes.
On the Free plan, each day is limited to one shift. Upgrade to Pro or Advance to run multiple shifts per day.
Add date overrides for holidays (Pro+) #
Date overrides let you change a single date without touching your normal weekly schedule. Use them to close on a holiday or to set custom hours or capacity for a special date.
- On the Hours & Schedule tab, add a date override.
- Choose the date.
- Mark the date as closed, or set custom hours and capacity for that date.
- Save your changes.
A closed date removes all booking times for that day. A custom date replaces your usual schedule just for that date.

Frequently asked questions #
How do I set separate lunch and dinner booking times? #
Add two shifts to the same day on the Hours & Schedule tab, for example Lunch 11:00 to 14:00 and Dinner 17:00 to 22:00. Diners can then book inside either window but not during the afternoon gap. Multiple shifts per day is a Pro+ feature.
Do operating hours control which times diners can book? #
Yes. Diners can only book times that fall inside an open shift on your weekly schedule. Reservics divides each shift into slots using your booking interval, and capacity and party size limits then decide which of those slots are still available.
Can I close my restaurant for a holiday? #
Yes, on Pro or Advance you can add a date override and mark that date as closed. A closed date removes all booking times for the day without changing your normal weekly schedule. You can also set custom hours or capacity for a special date.
Can each location have its own hours? #
Yes. Operating hours and shifts are set per location, so every venue keeps its own weekly schedule, shifts, and date overrides. The number of locations you can run depends on your plan. See multiple locations.
What happens to my schedule if I downgrade to Free? #
The Free plan allows one shift per day and no date overrides. If you downgrade, you keep your data, but multi-shift days and date overrides are Pro+ features you would need to re-upgrade to manage again.
